We are finally in our new House - yippee!
Well we officially moved into our new house today. I feel like I've been in a time warp for the past few weeks in particular. Being the fourth move in four years you'd think moving house would be a breeze but it has been the biggest and most challenging by far. Worth it though!!
Must give my hubby a huge pat on the back for building it from scratch and doing such an amazing job - especially under a lot of 'pressure' at various stages of the job - We made it to this point fully intact though. Thanks NeePee!
I am soooo looking forward to getting back to a more normal/predictable work routine -after all it's my passion - and I have missed not being able to devote as much time as usual to it lately.
oh and I got a lovely surprise during the week - more on that next post. Off to rest my weary bones after much heavy lifting, cleaning and sorting!!
Bye for now.
Happy Organizing,
Claire McFee

I won a Competition - Lucky me!
It's not everyday that you win something - especially something of a great quality but I just did. Founder of Wonderful Web Women Janet Beckers - who is also a newly published Best Selling Author - of Our Internet Secrets - had a competition last week to create an Audio Information Product. I had never done this before - but had wanted to learn how - so got past my fears, bit the bullet and just did it!!
Janet had several categories to be able to win and I won the best 2 Tips for creating the Audio Product which were:
Top 2 Tips
Tip 1 “Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils …” - Louis Hector Berlioz
Having procrastinated about recording an audio Info Product for several months, hearing Janet call herself a ‘RECOVERING PERFECTIONIST’ struck a chord with me. So don’t let any more time pass - & like me just bloody do it!” If you are not already of member Wonderful Web Women then join up because it is instrumental to our business success.
Tip 2 Winston Churchill :- “When I look back on all these worries, I remember the story of the old man who said on his deathbed that he had had a lot of trouble in his life, most of which had never happened.”
It’s so important to monitor your all-important SELF TALK . If you are worried about doing something out of your comfort zone - Use positive phrases like “I can do it”; “It will work out”. This helps you stay focused. If any negative self- defeating ‘Internal Dialogue’ crops up, remember that whether or not things turn out the way you wanted just having a “GO” provides so much opportunity for learning, growth and ultimately success.
….& a funny aside ‘TIP’ - Don’t wear big dangly earings while making your recording or you will hear them clanking around on the phone!!
If you have a web based business or would like to start a web based business, then Wonderful Web Women is a fantastic community of helpful and inspiring people, who can help make your dreams a reality. We have been members for over a year and can't recommend them highly enough.

be the change changing the dream
I just had to share a great clip with you, made by top notch Advertising Execs for the 'Global Community' Group, which is used in the Changing the Dream/Be the Change Symposium. http://www.globalcommunity.org/flash/wombat.shtml It is very clever and hits the nail on the head when it comes to what we all need to do to rise above the 'problems' - Environmental/Social Justice/Peace/Spirituality issues etc- we have been stuck in for so long.
Would love to hear your thoughts. I for one would like to see this and other content like it in our schools, we need to start from the ground up for change to take effect and be long lasting.
I attended one of the Changing the Dream Symposium in Lorne, Vic Australia recently which was great. Below is a testimonial I wrote for them I was so impressed and a YouTube Video I made in support of them as well. check it out here.
“The ‘Changing the Dream’ Symposium was all that I had hoped for and more. We were informed and inspired to think about ways we might be able to make a difference to the world through our lives. We got to see a more Global ‘Big’ picture, and how that relates to us locally. I am integrating the ideals of Changing the Dream into my business – for example in the articles I write & in my blog posts. I know no matter how small these efforts, they can make a difference to the collective consciousness of others to help instigate Changing the Dream. As a family we were already very conscious of being environmentally friendly, but there is always MORE you can do to help. We are growing Vege’s and herbs; walking rather than driving more; using toxic free household products and chemical free makeup etc. What would have seemed overwhelming to me a few years back is the ‘norm’ for us now. We feel really proud that we are constantly finding ways to decrease our carbon footprint, as well as teaching our children to have a giving attitude when it comes to helping other people in all sorts of ways. I learned lots of new ideas at the Symposium for how to continue these efforts. Changing the Dream reinforced to me how much HOPE there is in the world and how many good and caring people are out there. Thank you for your efforts.”

Know anything, or much about Twitter? I feel like I only just got the hang of Facebook! Social Networking Sites can be great for keeping in touch and for Business Networking - if you know what the 'right' amount is for you!
I have only just Organized myself a Twitter account - clairemcfee - and will use it more over time.
If you want to know more about it, then I found a great post about Twitter on this Blog - Tilda Virtual. Check it out, I'm sure you'll learn a thing or two.

Organize Your Life on ABC Radio
I was contacted to be interviewed on ABC radio twice recently on.....you guessed it Organizing to Spring Cleaning your house.
One interviewer focused on Spring Cleaning inside the house, while the other was about Organizing the dreaded shed/garage. Both were enjoyable interviews - with the 'junkyard Jill' characters versus the innately organized people being discussed, and of course the rest of us in between.
As I always say - how effectively and naturally you take to being able to Organize Your self and your home often comes down to your personality, so being realistic about what you can achieve is important. Getting help if you need it -paid or otherwise is also 'key' to the Home Organizing issue.

I mentioned the National Organising Week here in Australia and the free workshops at Officeworks around the country, which with the help of new Australian Association of Professional Organisers - AAPO - Sponsor DYMO. I'm sure all Organizing workshops are being well attended.
So happy organizing and spring cleaning!
